I learned the value of telling the truth early in childhood from her- do not be afraid to admit you committed a mistake and learn from it. I sneaked a bottle of red nail polish, from her dresser, spilled it on my dress (a gift from her). I owned up to the mishap, she forgave me and felt loved instead of chastised. From then on I think I tried to live up to her expectations- admitting mistakes and being ready for consequences and always sticking to the truth.
